![]() ![]() I feel like there was some lost potential to have told a much more BLAME!-like story, focusing exclusively on the daily (weekly, monthly, yearly) life of Killy and what existence is like in the City, rather than telling a story about some electofishers. I found it a little slow in the first half, but loved every second of the film from the moment that Sanakan showed up until the end. ![]() The film doesn't faithfully adapt any one specific arc, but grabs elements from multiple arcs ( electrofisher village, getting Cibo a new body, using the "print anything" machine) and creates an original story with those elements.Ī bunch of cute big-eyed anime girls are the farthest thing from the BLAME! aesthetic. Killy does some things that seem ridiculously out-of-character ( give away his food, give away the valuable equipment that keeps him safe). Killy acts more like a depressed emo boy than the stoic and determined badass we've seen him as. The story spends more time focusing on electrofishers than Killy or Cibo. I didn't think it was awful, but I did notice some things that might annoy fans of the manga: ![]()
